If trump succeeds

If trump succeeds in his promise to make abortions illegal, there will in fact be more abortions.  The people that want to get rid of it do not want to look at the bigger picture. That there are not simple answers.
Of course, there is the argument of wrong is wrong.  I wish abortion was not a reality.  It is though.  In the same way, Christians believed the Bible, but killed native Americans for their land and hung black men for being uppity. God-fearing men drag homosexuals to their deaths.  Jesus was born in a time of a lot of wars. How hard to he rail against it? Need I find Bible verses stating good times to kill people and we do not follow them?
Make it illegal and then what?  Arrest any doctor that performs it? Our prosecuting attorneys and court system are already overworked.  Will it be able to file charges on the doctors.  Many many people will still want abortions.  Will these communities go after them? No.  But they will not need to.
What will the prochoice people do with all their time and money.  Probably fight to get abortions legal again. However, they will also set up a system to help out women.  Money to help them go out of country to where abortions are legal.
I believe that a whole economy will be set up.  American doctors will go to Mexico to get rich.  Women will take abortion vacations.  Go down to a warm destination.
Of course, that is for the women in well-to-do households.  Poor women will have to go back to coat hangers.  Just as bad will be the black market.  Abortions will be the new marijuana. Illegal, but common place.
Setting aside the argument that abortions are just the beginning of controlling women’s bodies (which we shouldn’t, because people do want to do that), women will have less control.  Young females, especially may decide just not to have sex.  Some will then abstain and that is good.  Many, however, will not prepare themselves for sex, but then they will get into a situation where they need contraceptives.
They won’t have them. Sometimes a baby will happen.  Sometimes an abortion will happen.
Those that do get pregnant will then try to hide their pregnancy for as long as possible. Avoiding prenatal care while they figure out what to do or hope for a miscarriage. And what of miscarrgaiges.  Will a hearing have to be held to determine if a woman had a miscarriage or an abortion. Will she be found guilty and face jailtime? There has to be a deterrent, right?
Will there need to be a hearing for a woman claiming rape?  Won’t a woman have to go to court to prove that she did not deserve the kid inside of her. If the answer is yes, then what a terrible thing.  If the answer is no, a doctor can just sign off and say he performed an abortion because the woman was raped.  There’s the loophole to keep it legal.  Then all those young women that are not on contraception and get pregnant have a way to get an abortion.

This is a stretch, but what if people stopped fighting Roe V Wade?  Pro Choice people are passionate about women. I believe they would turn their focus to helping women and abortions are traumatic. Prolife people could spend their money on helping them as well.  Fund adoptions instead of church picnics.
Prochoice candidates would not give speeches about it. The abortion message would not be so prevalent. Without pressure from both sides, I think most young women would choose adoption.

The Bible is not a Road map

Government is a system of rules.  Are you with me so far?  You know what else has rules that govern us.  The rules of the road.  We have a system of laws so that we can go from one place to another.  We are able to create and follow these rules without mentioning religion. It works great.  It works better than our federal and state governments.

Not one mention of God.  They are not based on the Bible.  Yet people are free to be religious.  You can listen to a religious station and listen to the BIBLE on tape.  You can even be a pastor and rehearse or even preach your sermon to anyone you want in your car.

You can let your christian faith influence how you drive. Please do.  Give to others, love one another, turn the other cheek.  But also atheists can not and only follow the rules of the road and you still go about your day.
Religious people can have a Jeus is my copilot bumper sticker. We have laws that protect your right to have it.  You can be at a stop light and ask the driver next to you if they have accepted Jesus.  Perfectly acceptable. But you cannot have laws that force people to pray while driving. You are okay with that.

Now the laws of the road have some things that go against your religion.  Trucks can have chrome outlines of naked women.  Some bumper stickers have swear words on it. The meak shall inherit the earth, but suck at merging.

The Bible tells you adulterous and gay people should be stoned.  You see a Miatta with a rainbow sticker on it or a Outback being driven by a woman in a flannel shirt and you are not happy. You make a comment to the people in your car, but you do not stone them.  You let them go on their merry way and you are actually okay that you let them be on their way.

We can do that with the laws of our nation. No one will stop your religious rights and yet everyone can be on their merry way.

I Can No Longer vote Republican

There was a time when I voted for the candidate that was the most honest. The one the stuck with his own principals. For a long time it was conservatives.  They took the nonpopular stances.  The ones that did not cater to people's desire to get something for their vote.

Thanks to Walker and the other candidates I will never vote for a conservative again. They have shown their true colors.

There is the outright corruption.  More pervasively is their desire to cater to the people and the corporations with the money.

They use trigger topics to sway people of faith and independent minded people.  Okay not sway. Trick.  They convince #catholics and others that there is a war on Christmas and religion. They try to empower #homeschooling parents so that they can dismantle schools.  STo be frank, some people can teach their children well.  Then there is the trailer trash people that think they can, but they damage their children.  These dumb children and the weakened public schools play into the republicans (liek #Walker) plan to make america dumber. The dumber you are the more reactionary you are and that's what the tea party needs to thrive.  They want a nation that works at Walmart, receives food stamps from the government, and then spend their food stamp monies to show at Walmart.

Using You

There is a movement in our country to have effective government. To have some politicians that will shake things up. Conservatives are against big government so it makes sense that they want the people that will have an impact on the way our government runs. It used to be the many conservatives had ideals were good. Stand on your own two feet. Rely on yourself and help others by not giving to them.
The problem lies on who is capitalizing on the movement to shake things up. It is the capitalists that want to use conservative values to make more money. They use the rhetoric to stir up the angry and the bigoted to come into power. They are also stirring up those that are so fed up they just want change. Even if that change is Donald Trump.
People need to take a step back and be objective when looking at things. Look for statements that are used to rile you up and scare you.  They want to take away your way of life. It is an attack on Christmas. They want to take away your guns. Schools want to control your kids and brainwash them.
Let’s talk about guns. In the 1920s they abolished drinking. It caused created syndicates of crime and did not work. Today, the distribution of alcohol is highly controlled. But do you have easy access do alcohol? Yes. Are the laws there to take it away? No, just to make the world safer.
Are schools trying to instill certain morals and values in your children? Yes. It is their role that they were created for. They Are given the responsibility to create good citizens of the United States. So if you pull  your child out and homeschool them, you are not being patriotic. I wrote that statement to be snarky, but now I think I believe that.  Homeschoolers want to instill their values on their children. I res;pect that. America allows you that. But under your definition of patriotism, you do not want to be part of America.

People think they are finally supporting politicians that will change things up.  Who they are really supporting are the corporations and ALEC that want to use the government to control people and make more money.
